Tanya and DaVona are out on a leisurely patrol down the mountain when they both come a cropper on an unexpectedly tricky slope. DaVona says she could have sworn the long, erect pole marking the slope was blue, to which Tanya replies that’s what she said. DaVona knows that hapless Josh is a little upslope from her, and calls him pretending to be injured, knowing that he will come flying down to her rescue. As he becomes the third member of an elite skiing squad to come a cropper in the same spot in the last three minutes and comes sliding to her feet, she knows something’s up and calls in to base to report the mischievous markings. Lt. Powers sends out a crack team to investigate, unaware that what seems like an innocent mistake may turn out to be the biggest case of fraud in the resort’s history. (Or may not.)
